The prototypical examples in my mind of tools in this category are any of those "IDA WinDbg bridge" things that involve automatically copying RVAs into the clipboard, a set of WinDbg macros, etc. Writing tools like that is tiresome, and the work never ends due to changes in the APIs and in any dependencies. Generally speaking, the ones I'm familiar with in the past have always suffered from limited and cumbersome integration. I have mixed feelings about "crossover" tools like this.
